So I’ve been having problems with my Galant VR-4 since I’ve owned it. Last week I found out how to get my check engine light codes. It’s OBD1 so you have to use an analog Volt meter and it sends pulses to give you the code, long pulses for the first digit and quick sweeps for the second. I had codes 11, and 14. Bad o2 sensor and bad throttle Position sensor. I was pretty excited until I found out the TSP was 200 bucks. Well I decided to rule everything else out before I bought it. Then I remembered that more than a few few poeple on DSM forums had told me to take a look at my ECU...

So today I finally pulled it out.

Yup she done let the smoke out. So now I’m off to find a new used ECU.
